Speaker Kodela plays a trick in Assembly

As many as 21 MLAs shifted loyalties from YSR Congress to ruling TDP in the past three years. YCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy has written letters and his Party MLAs have given representation to AP Speaker seeking disqualification of all the Legislators who defected to Telugu Desam.
However, Speaker Kodela kept delaying the disqualification of defector MLAs all these days. An interesting development took place on the last day of the Budget Session.
AP Speaker said: 'MLAs who joined the Ruling Party were allotted seats in TDP Quota itself. Even in the House, These Members were sitting beside Telugu Desam MLAs. Strengths of Parties in AP Assembly - TDP: 102; YSRC: 66'.
Despite YCP's strength falling down to 45 Seats, Speaker played it safe by saying Main Opposition still have 66 MLAs. This strategy was followed by him only to avoid disqualification of defector MLAs.
