Why Virat Kohli was Fined Rs 12 lakh?

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Skipper Virat Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakhs for maintaining Slow Over-Rate during Friday's IPL match against Rising Pune Supergiants.
Batting first, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli scored 83 runs & 80 runs respectively to post a par score of 185 at the loss of 5 wickets. While chasing, Dhoni's RPS lost two quick wickets without scoring much and Kevin Peterson got retired hurt to increase the troubles. Rahane and Dhoni steadied the innings with their 90 runs partnership. But, Dhoni failed to accelerate when needed and got out at crucial juncture. Inspite of Perera's blistering knock in the end, Pune got defeated by a margin of 13 runs.
In an attempt to make sure his team is on the winning side, Virat Kohli hardly bothered about the minimum over rate. He had to been asked to face Rs 12 lakh on grounds that its only his first offense of the 9th Edition of IPL. Of course, Kohli wouldn't mind these fines as long as his team wins matches.
