Kohli's Childhood Coach has an appeal for Old Student!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 March 2022 9:49 AM GMTFormer Indian skipper Run Machine Virat Kohli's drought with the runs continues and so does his quest for the century. He could not score runs in the recent home series against Sri Lanka. Forget about the century, Virat could not score a half-century. The stats are making his fans worry.
It's been close to three years since Virat Kohli's bat roared with a ton. His fans have been waiting to see him reach the three-figure score but in vain. Virat Kohli came close to a ton when India faced West Indies in Hyderabad. He played a fiery knock and blasted the West Indies player all over the park and scored 94 runs.
With Virat going through his worst phase in his cricketing career, his childhood coach had urged the player to come to his academy to work again on his basics. The coach said that if he can work on his basics then Virat Kohli will shine again.
One Rajkumar Sharma, who had trained Virat Kohli in his childhood made a proposal that Kohli should come back to the academy so that he can work on his basics again to gain his form again.
According to the reports, coach Sharma felt that his old student Virat Kohli is in need of the confidence he used to have while batting in his academy, and to get that, Kohli should come back to the academy. The coach also said that he would have a word with Kohli on the same.
Giving a detailed analysis, the coach felt that Kohli has been playing with a sense of cautiousness and he should play the game freely. If he starts to play freely then it doesn't take much time for him to get into his normal mode, the coach reportedly said.
Things are not going in Kohli's way in recent times. He lost his captaincy to Hitman Rohit Sharma. After losing capacity, everyone thought that Kohli will bat freely without any tension and pressure. Sadly, the reality is quite different and Kohli's drought has been continuing. His fans and cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for his 71st Century for three long years.
