BJP - An Alternative For TRS: Komatireddy
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Jun 2019 6:16 AM GMTTelangana Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy expressed the view that the image of Congress got damaged so much because of the alliance with TDP in 2018 Assembly Polls. He questioned the party leadership under who's direction it formed alliance with Telugu Desam Party.
Komatireddy didn't hesitate to say, 'BJP emerged as an alternative for TRS in Telangana. Leaders are of the impression that Congress got weakened under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi'.
Speculations are abuzz that two out of the three Telangana Congress MPs has been holding talks with the BJP Leadership to shift loyalties. The comments made by Rajagopal Reddy indicate that his brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Revanth Reddy could be joining BJP anytime soon along with him. If these speculations turn out to be true, Telangana Congress will slip to the third position in the state. BJP will be the main opponent of TRS in 2023 Assembly Polls.
Winning 4 MP Seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls changed the fortunes of Telangana BJP. It won't be easy for KCR, who dreamt about Federal Front forming the government at the national level, to gain an upper hand over someone like Narendra Modi.
