The Munugode by-election is a do-or-die situation for the grand old Congress. It is its sitting seat and it wants to prove its strong presence by winning the poll. It also has s strong cadre which puts the party in a better position compared to the other parties.
Despite Revanth Reddy giving his best, the other seniors are not walking with him. MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has been a throne in the flesh for the party since the by-poll became inevitable. He is not taking part in the campaign. He is the star campaigner. He was given the position hoping that he would work hard for the party.
Forget about giving his best, he is not even putting in minimum effort. When the election heat was at its peak he left for Australia. An audio clip that is believed to be of MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy went viral in which he sought support to make his brother Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy win the polls.
Now the MP stunned everyone by saying that Congress will not win the by-poll. Talking about his campaign, the MP said that Congress would get a few more votes if he campaigns and nothing more would happen.
Winning the Munugode by-poll is crucial for Rajgopal Reddy's political future and he is hoping to win the polls. His elder brother Komatireddy is helping his brother in what he could. He skipped the campaign and now he is hopeful of Congress not winning the polls.
