Why did Koneru Prasad quit YSR Congress?
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 March 2016 1:31 PM GMTTrimax Group CEO Koneru Prasad resigned to the primary membership of YSR Congress party recently. Why did he take such a step?
Ever since Congress came to power in 2004, Koneru Prasad moved closely with YS Rajasekhar Reddy and was involved in quid-pro-pro deals during the tenure. Hence, CBI named him as Accused No.6 in the charge sheet of Jagan's disproportionate assets case. He even served jail term for several months and got released on bail just before 2014 polls. He contested on YSR Congress ticket from Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency and got defeated by TDP Candidate Kesineni Nani.
Koneru Prasad has set up Beach & Sand factory to collect beach minerals in Srikakulam. BJP floor leader Vishnu Kumar Raju alleged that irregularities have been happening in the name of collecting beach minerals during the question hour in Assembly. Soon, AP CM ordered for an enquiry into the issue. Within days, Koneru Prasad submitted his resignation to YCP. Don't you think all of these developments are interconnected?
