TDP Government began 'Operation Akarsh' soon after Jagan claimed he is capable of dethroning Chandrbabu Naidu within an hour. So far, 20 MLAs, 2 MLCs and few other YCP Leaders joined the ruling party.
State Government thought delimitation of Assembly segments would permit allotting tickets to the joiners in 2019 polls. Unexpectedly, Centre gave a shock to Governments in Telugu States with the indication of no delimitation of Assembly constituencies till 2026.
In addition, TDP doesn't want to break the alliance with BJP even in 2019. So, Several Leaders in the ruling party are worried about the sacrifices they should make due to these factors. Some of them even began shifting loyalties to the Main Opposition.
