Lady Comedian Joins Kamal's Party

Actress Kovai Sarala joined Makkal Needhi Maiam in the presence of Kamal Haasan on Friday. She offered to campaign for the new party during the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. 'I would work for the party as per the directions of Kamal Haasan,' told the Comedian at the MNM Office.
Makkal Needhi Maiam is likely to contest 2019 Lok Sabha Polls without any alliance. Entry of Kovai Sarala into the party could boost the poll prospects of Kamal's Party in the Kongunadu Region.
Kamal Haasan made it clear Makkal Needhi Maiam isn't a party formed for the upliftment of his family. He told neither his Daughter nor his Brother-in-Law will take over the reins of the party after him. This statement can be understood as a sharp dig at DMK and DMDK. While DMK was led by Karunanidhi's Son MK Stalin, DMDK is being run by Vijayakanth's Brother-in-Law.
Of course, Kamal kept targeting even AIADMK and BJP frequently. He was vocal about the corruption of the AIADMK Government in the past two years.
Seems like, Film Celebrities are preferring to join Makkal Needhi Maiam ahead of Lok Sabha Polls. Actress Supriya is continuing as a key member of the party already. Few more prominent personalities could extend support to the Legendary Actor in the next two months.
