KTR hits out at BJP, says will speak for Andhra Pradesh
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 March 2021 12:19 PM GMTTRS Working President, Minister of MA&UD, Industries, and IT&C, Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao aka KTR had responded to the Vizag Steel Plant row and questioned the Union government's move.
However, this did not go well with the Telangana wing of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). State Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar lashed out at KTR for supporting the protests against the steel plant and asked if there any need for him to respond to issues in AP.
At an event held for campaigning for the upcoming MLC Graduates Elections, KTR breathed fire on the BJP. He questioned, why can't they speak for Andhra Pradesh when so much is going on?
"Why is BJP so worried of we speak for Andhra Pradesh. We will not keep quiet if injustice is done to Andhra Pradesh. If we don't speak for other states, who will speak for us. The center might also privatise ECIL, BHEL, Singareni Collieries," KTR said.
After KTR supported the ongoing protests, Trade Unions of Vizag Steel Plant did Palabhisekham to KTR's portrait in Andhra Pradesh. The employees thanked the Minister for understanding their concerns.
