A Clear Message for BJP & Congress: KTR
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 March 2018 8:04 AM GMTDefeat faced by BJP in the by-election to Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh is like a ray of hope for Anti-Modi Forces. These were the seats won by UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Moruya in 2014 Lok Sabha Polls. They fell vacant after Yogi and Mourya submitted resignation due to their elevation as CM & Deputy CM. Much to their shock, BJP failed to retain any of these two crucial seats. While Samajwadi Party's Praveen Nishad won against BJP's Upendra Dutt by a margin of 21,961 votes in Gorakhpur, SP Candidate Nagendra Prathap Singh Patel won by a huge margin of 59,640 votes in Phulpur.
Uttar Pradesh was the state which helped BJP form the government on its own for the first time ever. Even in last year's Assembly Polls, BJP won 325 seats out of total 403 seats. In less than an year, The situation turned completely against the Saffron Party.
Telangana IT Minister finds the election results of the Lok Sabha seats vacated by UP CM & his Deputy CM very interesting. He feels the state which catapulted BJP into the hot seat in Delhi has sent a clear message that nothing is permanent. KTR didn't even spare Congress either by saying the other National Party has lost its deposits & relevance yet again.
