KTR relies on hefty fines to 'clean' Hyd

Reportedly, KTR directed Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to impose hefty fines on those who were writing on walls, pasting posters and setting up banners/cutouts/flexis all over the city. While a fine of Rs 1000 will be imposed on Writings, Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000 would be charged for Posters and Banners/Cutouts.
Already, Enforcement Committees have been constituted to remove the already existing writings, posters and cutouts. Subsequently, Challan will be issued to those violating the norms. Deputy Commissioner of Police has been appointed as Chief Enforcement Officer, head of the Enforcement Committees.
