Telangana Municipal & Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao is now making the people behind Sand Mafia cope with sleepless nights. After taking steps to improve the roads in Hyderabad, This First-Time Minister shifted focus to Sand Mafia.
Without prior intimation, KTR reached Karimnagar. He then preferred a police vehicle over his convoy to reach Sand Quary that's been mined by TSMDC in Kottapalli, Thimmapur mandal.
People who are involved in Sand Mafia were shell shocked upon seeing the Minister. KTR interacted with the staff and locals for some time. Before leaving the spot, He warned them of dire consequences if illegal activities were performed.
On Monday, KTR arranged a meeting with Mayors, Chairmans, Commissioners and Special Officials in the state. He gave directions to them on Solid Waste Management, Construction of Toilets, Haritha Haram, Mission Bhageeratha, Drinking Water Connections and others.
