This is because of the 5 digit salary soon after graduation, 5-day work, weekend parties and what not. Software has become more like a lifestyle in India due to the high paying jobs and party culture.
Gradually, New Job Opportunities have been reducing and Lay-Offs kept increasing. In March 2015, A multi-national company served pink slips to 35,000 employees at once.
