Lady Director slaps in the face of T-town Legends

Lady Director B Jaya got emotional at the audio launch of Director Maruthi's upcoming production 'Romance'. To everyone's surprise, Jaya questioned what favors does the so-called legendary directors in the Industry have done to their assistants and went on to praise director Maruthi sky-high for his good-hearted nature.
"We have the quote that 'small tress won't grow under a big tree'. Industry has several big directors like Dasari Narayana Rao, Raghavendra Rao and Ram Gopal Varma. But, what they had done to their assistants? Maruthi is different in this case. He is the one who wants everyone who worked with him to grow. I have been in this Industry for so long and I haven't seen a person like Maruthi. I can confidently say there will be none who could surpass him. I am saying this from my heart," commented the director.
Maruthi has become a big name in the Industry post the success of 'Ee Rojullo', 'Busstop' and 'Premakatha Chittram'. Especially, his ability to set the cash registers ringing with low-budget films has been appreciated by one and all. In a span of just one year after his directorial debut, he introduced two of his assistants as directors. While Prabhakar Reddy who worked as a cinematographer for 'Busstop' got the opportunity to direct 'Premakatha Chitram', Darling Swamy who is a writer in his camp will be testing his luck as director with 'Romance'.
