After 16 Years Tiffin Bomb Case Quashed

After almost sixteen years Nampally court on Monday quashed the Lal Darwaja hotel tiffin box bomb case. The court delivering its verdict declared it as void and closed it as there were no witnesses. The tiffin box bomb case had come up for hearing in 1999 at Nampalli special court and the trial was continued for more than 15 years.
Apart from this the court also quashed another case related to communal riots that had broken out aftermath of the incident. The series of low-intensity bomb blasts had occurred in 1999.A bomb kept in a tiffin box exploded at Lal Darwaja hotel, killing two person and injuring many.
