Bihar Demands Special Status: Is It Modi's Game?

On the day TDP Union Ministers quit Modi Cabinet, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar demanded Special Category Status for his state.
Of course, This isn't the first time Nitish Kumar came up with such demand. But, Placing the same demand before Centre when AP intensified the fight for Special Status has been raising many doubts.
Currently, JD (U) led by Nitish Kumar is the alliance partner of NDA. JD (U) and BJP has formed the hung assembly after Nitish's fallout with RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. So, Doubts have been expressed over the fresh demand from Bihar CM.
All these days, Centre denied Special Status for AP citing 14th Finance Commission and NITI Aayog recommendations. But now, Neither AP Government nor Political Parties in the state are ready to compromise on Special Status. This could have prompted BJP Leadership to make Nitish Kumar place such a demand. And now, Centre will have a excuse - we can't grant Special Status to AP as other States would could up with similar demands.
