Last match is the first match for Sachin Mother
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 Nov 2013 2:49 AM GMTMumbai woke up with a mixed feeling of energy, nervous excitement and a tinge of sadness as their beloved cricketer and 'son of the soil' Sachin Tendulkar would be playing his 200th and final Test at the Wankhede Stadium .
From early morning itself fans queued up outside the Wankhede Stadium to gain entry into the ground. Many of Sachin friends and well wishers attended to witness the last presence of sachin. But one among them are so special and his none other than mother of the legend batsman Rajni Tendulkar
It’s quite impossible to believe a fact that till now Sachin’s mother was not attended at ground to watch even a single match.Rajni Tendulkar has always been too nervous to watch her son in action, and even found live television coverage of the ‘Little Master’ too much, preferring to watch highlights during his 24-year career instead.
However, as the legendary batsman walked onto the pitch for his final Test match,Rajni was in the Wankhede Stadium to witness the 32,000 capacity crowd roar their deafening goodbyes to IndiaÂ’s favourite son.
‘Mother has never seen him play – this will be the first time, Sachin’s elder brother Ajit said
Indeed, it has been suggested that Tendulkar specifically asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India that the match be played in his hometown not for selfish reasons but so his mother could attend.
