TPCC Row: Leaders ask Sonia Gandhi to look for these qualities in candidate

Electing new Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief to lead the Telangana wing of Congress has turned out as a big head ache for the Delhi leadership.The selection process has been going on since long time.
Making the process even more complicated, leaders from communities like BC and SC are putting pressure on the leadership to give their respective communities a chance.
All the problems started with firebrand leader Revanth Reddy being the aspirant of the post.Owing to his strong orator skills and his ability of speaking with the facts, the Delhi leader ship is reportedly favouring Revanth.
Bhadrachalam MLA, party district President Podem Veeraiah has written to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi over the TPCC appointment. In the letter tbe MLA stressed that before selecting the candidate, his track record and his loyalty towards the party and Gandhi family should be considered.
Other leaders like MLA Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Thurupu Jayaprakash Reddy, popularly known as, Jagga Reddy and MLC Jeevan Reddy have signed on the letter sent on Podem's letterhead which says they are also of the same opinion.
Though the leaders didn't mention any names, media reports are abuzz that the letter was about Revanth Reddy, who is an outsider compared to other leaders who have an association with the party for decades.
It has to be noted that senior Congress leader V.H had openly opposed the move to appoint Revanth as TPCC chief as he junior compared to other leaders.With the new development, we have to wait and see what happens next in the TPCC row.
