By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Nov 2022 9:57 AM GMTThe intense Munugode by-poll is fast approaching and in a few hours, the election will be held. The political experts say that the main fight would be between TRS and Bharatiya Janata Party. Yesterday was the last date for campaigning and the parties did as much as they could.
With the Election Model Code of Conduct coming into effect the cadres and the non-locals left the poll-bound Munugode Assembly Constituency. Now a picture is doing rounds on social media which shows a big pile of empty liquor bottles.
Since the notification for the by-polls was issued it was expected that money and liquor would flow like water. Adding fuel to this the political parties are offering big gifts for the voters and liquor was also offered to people who attended the rallies along with money and Biryani packets.
The pile of empty liquor bottles is so huge that they will be in thousands. With this, we can understand how much money the parties would have spent on liquor. Almost all the parties are believed to have offered liquor and the picture says it all.
It is said that Munugode has already left Huzurabad in terms of the costliest elections in the country. Parties reportedly offered gold to voters given the intensity of the polls. We can understand the money that went into the polls.
Social media is abuzz with the debate that crores of money was spent on liquor looking at the picture. While the pile has the bottles that are gathered in one place, there might be other bottles that might have not made it to the pile.
