OMG: Single Aadhaar Number for 100 People!

Aadhaar Number is considered by the Central and State Governments as a best option to identify beneficiaries of Government Schemes and avoid duplication. Even Maharashtra Government assumed linking Aadhaar with the beneficiaries of Farm Loan Waiver could prevent misuse of the scheme.
Much to the shock of the BJP Government, As many as 100 farmers who registered online for farm loan waiver have a similar Aadhaar number. 'We always believed Aadhaar would help us prevent fake beneficiaries. But, This is something unexpectable. Manual check of beneficiaries would further delay the implementations of the farm loan waiver,' says an Official.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis convened an emergency meeting to discuss about such issues. Bank Officials informed the CM that date of online registration portal Aapale Sarkar differ with that of their records. Even names of farmers, land size and type of loan doesn't match in few cases.
