Lockdown Updates: Case Filed On 4 Government Officials Over Booze Party
X
In what it could be a shocker, four government officials of Telangana were booked for reportedly holding a drinking party floating the lockdown norms. The alleged party was organized by the Mandal level officers in the Madhira town of Khammam at a guest house.

Some media reports say that upon receiving information about the booze party, the cops have arrested a doctor of a primary health center, while the remaining three fled by the spot.

The cops have also seized liquor bottles that were half used and the foodstuff at the guest house. A case was filed on the grounds of the violation of the COVID lockdown norms and investigation is going on.

If the reports of some media are to be believed cases were filed on Tahsildar Saidulu, sub-jailer Prabhakar Reddy and Panchayat raj and Rural Development Extension Officer Raja Rao along with doctor Srinivas in this regard.

Cases were filed under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 188 (Disobedience to an order lawfully promulgated by a public servant) and 269 (Negligently doing an act known to likely spread infection) and section 3 of the Epidemics Act, 1897 for disobeying any regulation or order made under the Act.

The government officials indulging in such acts send a wrong intention to the public which might turn ugly if the public also starts gathering and partying with the friends.
