Former AP Chief Secretary condemned the bad propaganda against him in an open letter addressing CM Chandrababu Naidu. 'TDP IT-wing under Nara Lokesh's control has created few videos to malign my reputation. It's unfair to say I was behind Centre's decision to take over TTD,' he complained.
IYR Krishna Rao alleged few campaigns have been run saying Centre would take hold of TTD only to mislead the people. He asked Chandrababu Naidu to ensure TDP doesn't indulge in such malicious campaigns.
The Former IAS condemned the version that Centre decided to take over TTD based on the letter he had written in 2011. He held AP CM responsible for such baseless speculations.
As per the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, Any structure that's been recognized as the one with National importance or which need to be protected can be taken over by the Archaeological Department. This is why then AP Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao suggested CM Chandrababu Naidu to amend the Act. He opined, 'Amending the Act to ensure obtaining permission from Archaeological Department mandatory for any renovations of Temples led to this situation'.
