Lone farmer who died at Red Fort is not a farmer at all
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Jan 2021 5:12 AM GMTIt now turns out that Navreet Singh, the lone 'farmer' who died during the Delhi riots organized by pro-Khalistani elements who posed as farmers, was not a farmer after all. He is a student pursuing his academics in Australia.
Navreet recently got married in Australia and was in India to organizing a feast for the locals. He had only come recently to his native village. The interesting thing is that though he comes from a farmers' family, he is not a farmer himself. He took his tractor to Delhi to take part in the rally that was hijacked by the pro-Khalistani and anti-India elements. He was crushed after his tractor overturned while trying to hit barricades put up by the police.
Initially, the protesters tried to argue that he was hit by the police bullet. However, the police quickly released the footage of Navreet Singh's tractor overturning after hitting a barricade. This quick action ensured that the bluff was called and the attempt to protest keeping his body on the road was called off. Interestingly, no political party from the opposition went to the village to console his bereaved family.
