Tirupati Balaji gets a Demat Account

TTD has opened a Demat account for Lord Balaji to accept donations in the forms of shares and securities. The account 1601010000384828 was opened with the Stock Holding Corporation of India (SHCIL). On Monday. Central Depositories Service Ltd (CDSL) Officials met TTD EO D Sambasiva Rao to complete the formalities of opening the account.
TTD Officials reveal that the temple has been receiving physical shares worth several lakhs since many years apart from cash and gold in the hundi. However, Most of the devotees didn't attach transfer forms to the physical shares to allow transfer to TTD. As the Demat account is now being opened, Devotees can transfer their shares online to Lord Venkateswara through off-market transaction from across the World.
