Never been before a Franchise got qualified for the knockouts by winning just 6 out of 14 games in the IPL history. Sunrises Hyderabad has broken that record with the luckiest entry into Semis in the 12th edition.
Although KKR and KXIP have won 6 games each, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to have the last laugh with better net run rate. Even the Team placed in the last two places (RR, RCB) weren't far behind as they managed 11 points each. One of these two team would have attained 12 points had if a match wasn't abandoned due to rain.
Sunrisers Hyderabad hadn't performed consistently in IPL 12. Australian Cricketer David Warner is the top scorer for the franchise with over 600 runs. He, however, won't be available anymore due to his world cup preparations. Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar performed decently. Afghanistan Spinner Rashid Khan failed to repeat the heroics he managed in the previous seasons. Yusuf Pathan poor form continues. Williamson and Manish Pandey are doing their best.
