YCP Leader Wins Battle, Takes Oath As MLA!

Madakasira (SC) TDP MLA Eeranna faced disqualification for submitting false affidavit during 2014 General Elections. YCP Candidate M Thippe Swamy, who stood second in the votes polled in last elections, replaced him as Madakasira MLA.
Actually, M Thippe Swamy moved a petition in Hyderabad High Court alleging Eeranna hasn't disclosed key facts about his Family (Pending Case in Karnataka, His Wife being a Govt Employee) in the election affidavit. After the allegations were proven true, High Court disqualified Eeranna and directed AP Speaker to recognise YCP Candidate M Thippe Swamy as the MLA of Madakasira. However, Eeranna challenged the verdict in the Supreme Court. The Apex Court upheld the ruling passed by the High Court.
Eeranna submitted his resignation to the Assembly Secretary on Friday. YSR Congress Party called it a trick played by TDP Leadership to delay the appointment of Thippe Swamy as MLA until the next election citing Speaker is considering the resignation. Main Opposition questioned, 'What for Eeranna submitted resignation? The Court had already disqualified him'.
As the criticism kept growing, Speaker Kodela had at last allowed Thippe Swamy to take oath as the MLA. This episode has ended finally, but what about the disqualification of defector MLAs?
