Youth Commits Suicide For Special Status

Sudhakar (26), a handloom weaver who stays at Madanapalle's Rama Rao Colony in Chittoor, committed suicide for Special Category Status on Saturday. The suicide note read, 'Prathyeka Hodha Mana Hakku'.
Locals say Sudhakar used to actively participate in the protests/programmes seeks Special Category Status to AP. He had actively participated in the Handloom Weavers meeting organized by YS Jaganmohan Reddy during Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
Recently, Sudhakar had donated Rs 5,000 for the orphanage near his colony. He is always willing to help others despite being poor. His Parents (Ramachandra, Sarojamma) are Municipality Workers.
Tension prevailed at Chittoor Government Hospital after MLA Desayi Thippareddy staged protest over the suicide of Sudhakar. He asked Government to wake up at least after the death of the Chittoor Youth.
Former YCP MP Mithun Reddy and MLA Desayi Thippareddy consoled the family members of Sudhakar and offered Rs 2 lakh financial assistance. YCP, CPI and CPM had given a call for bandh in Madanapally on Sunday.
YSR Congress Chief Jagan expressed shock over Sudhakar's suicide. He appealed people to fight collectively for achieving the rights rather than taking such extreme steps. He asked Youth to think about their family members to overcome suicidal tendencies.
In the past, Munukoti killed self in Tirupati for Special Category Status. And now, Sudhakar chose the same path. How many of people should die for making Centre realize how much injustice it did to AP?
