One Seat, Two Leaders, One Big Headache For KCR

It's the familiar story being played out all over again!! One is a loyal party follower, who has been with KCR when he wasn't a CM and the other is a defector to the TRS when the tidings were good. Both want the party ticket in 2019. While one is chanting the loyalty mantra, the other is backing on KCR's assurance and winnability factor.
Kukatpalli assembly constituency is witnessing a fight between sitting MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, who won on TDP ticket, but switched to the TRS as part of KCR's operation Akarsh and Gottimukkala Padma Rao, who fought and lost in 2014 elections. While Padma Rao says he has been a loyal leader leader of the party and has helped build the party in this predominantly Andhra-dominated constituency, Krishna Rao latched on to the TRS bandwagon after KCR became a CM. But, he brought the whole TDP cadre into the party. While Krishna Rao claims that KCR has assured him that he would be given the party ticket in 2019, Padma Rao says KCR will recognize his contribution to the party. Padma Rao joined the party in 2010 and feels he will be rewarded.
Sources say that an exhaustive report about the constituency and the respective strengths and weaknesses of the two claimants is already with KCR and he will take a final call on the issue. Till then, the two rivals are battling it out so that they grab KCR's attention
