Name Manmohan Singh as Accused!!

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, the main accused in Coalgate scam, on Monday given a representation to a Special Court seeking inclusion of former Prime Minister and two others as accused in Coal scam.
Mr.Koda wants summons to be issued to Manmohan Singh who is heading the Coal Ministry during UPA rule, then Secretaries Anand Swarup (Energy) and Jai Shankar Tiwari (Mines and Geology). Court forwarded the copy of Madhu Koda's application to CBI and asked it to file a reply.
The Coalgate scam pertains to alleged irregularities in the allocation of Jharkhand's Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block to two companies Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) and Gagan Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd (GSIPL) which were owned by Naveen Jindal. CBI named Madhu Koda, Naveen Jindal, Former Minister of State for Coal Dasari, Ex-Coal Secretary HC Gupta and five companies as accused in the case.
