Komatireddy, Madhu Yashki spar over YS Vijayamma's YSR memorial meet
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Sep 2021 12:13 PM GMTThe YSR memorial meeting conducted by YS Vijayamma on September 2 continues to create ripples in the Telangana Congress Party. The two leaders, who defied the party's diktat and attended the meeting are still defiant and are daring the leadership to take action against them. Both Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and former Rajya Sabha MP MK Khan have attended the meeting. But, Komatireddy is adopting a belligerent stand against the TPCC.
TPCC's campaign committee chief and two-time MP Madhu Yashki Goud has strongly criticised Komatireddy's defiance. He asked Reddy not to damage the image of the party. He said that Komatireddy's rise in politics is mainly due to the encouragement and leadership given by Sonia Gandhi. He said that those who are flouting the party's decisions may leave the party if they want.
Madhu Yashki advised Kmatireddy not to sabotage the party's prospects while still being in the party. He said that they should not stab the party in the back. He also found fault with Komatireddy's comments on party leader and senior MLA Sitakka. It may be recalled that KOmatireddy has said that the party cannot take any action against him for attending the memorial meeting of a Congress former CM who is no more when it allowed a Congress MLA's touching of Chandrababu Naidu's feet.
An angry Madhu Yashki sought to know if Venkat Reddy supported YS Vijayamma's comments on Telangana and the separate state movement. Komatireddy has said that he had attended the meet in view of his close relation and respect for the YSR family and YSR's leadership. It is now clear that the fight is far from being over and that there is more to come in the days to come.
