Madras High Court Dismisses Kidnap Allegations On AIADMK MLA, Allows The Girl To Go With Her Husband

The marriage of the ruling AIADMK Dalit MLA to a 19-year-old student which has created quite a stir in Tamil Nadu has reached the Madras High Court with the girl's father knocking on the doors of the court.
The Madras High Court which heard the habeus corpus petition filed by the girls' father quashed the kidnap allegations against the MLA and allowed the girl to go with her husband.
Speaking in the court, the girl told the judges that she wants to go with her husband and denied the allegations of the MLA kidnapping her.
The girl's father, who is a priest claimed that the lawmaker was in a relationship with his daughter while she was a minor and termed their relationship as a breach of trust.
The MLA said, he knows the girl's family for many years, and talking about the disputes with the girl's father, he opined that he might have got misled by some political forces.
