Multinational food giant Nestle India announced that Maggi noodles are safe. In a statement Maggi ha announced that 100 percent of the samples tested in three laboratories were found clear.

Nestle said the test results have been received from all three labs mandated by the Bombay High Court."All 90 samples of six variants tested by these laboratories are clear with lead much below permissible limits," say a press statement

The company announced that it has conducted over 3500 tests representing 200 million packs in both national as well as international accredited laboratories and all reports are crystal clear

The company said it it could return Maggi noodles to shops in India sooner rather than later. Meanwhile Shares of Nestle India surged over 7 percent intraday after Maggi was tested safe.

In June, the FSSAI had banned Maggi noodles saying it was "unsafe". The ban was imposed on Maggi after local regulators found that some packets of the noodles contained unsafe levels of lead. The firm had to order a recall of the product and it cost it about 58 million dollars.
