Magistrate Court serves Warrant to Roja's Husband Selvamani!

Actor-turned-politician, YCP MLA from Nagari has been in the news recently due to the alleged rift he is having with the local leaders. It was also said that a section of leaders is working against her. Now she is in the news for one more time as her family members received a Court warrant.
As per the media reports, Roja's husband Selvamani was slapped with an arrest warrant by a Magistrate court in Chennai. Another person was also served a warrant in connection with an old case. The case is still haunting the duo and the recent summons is proof.
Having issued the bailable arrest warrants, the Magistrate Court had said that the two should be present before the court. The next hearing was adjourned to the 23rd of this month. Unhappy with the duo not attending the previous sessions, the court issued warrants.
Tracing back the case, it goes back to 2016. In an interview, Selvamani and Arul Anbarasu, a former MLA, had reportedly made objectionable comments on Mukanchand Bothra. Talking about a few money issues, the duo is said to have passed derogatory comments against him.
Mukanchand Bothra, a financier had moved the court against the court with a defamation suit. The court has been going on since then. The News channel which had aired the interview got a big relief when the court had removed the channels from the case.
Though the petitioner is no more, his son Gaganchand Bothra is taking care of the case and he has been attending the hearings. In the recent hearings, the Magistrate Court had served warrants to the duo.

After working together in the industry for a few films, Selvamani had proposed to actress Roja, who was one of the leading stars at that time. With both families giving their green signal, Roja, and Selvamani tied the knot in 2002. The duo has two children.
