Maha Drama: Fadnavis Meets RSS chief, Ahmed Patel Meets Nitin Gadkari
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Nov 2019 8:39 AM GMTIf there's a real pot boiler, then it is now playing out in Maharashtra, as the deadline for the formation of the Government is fast approaching. With no party getting the required numbers to form the government, different permutations and combinations are being worked out to reach the magic number.
With BJP not in the mood to share the chief ministership and not willing into Shiv Sena's bullying tactics, the Shiv Sena is in a fix. Despite its bullying and bravado, Shiv Sena does not seem to have a Plan B. The Nationalist Congress Party of Sharad Pawar has asked Shiv Sena to come out of the NDA before joining hands with the NCP Congress front. Shiv Sena is not ready to severe its ties with the NDA as it is the oldest ally of the BJP. But, it cannot be with the BJP and the NCP at the same time.
Meanwhile, in another development, senior Congress leader and political secretary of Sonia Gandhi Ahmed Patel met Union Minsiter Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday morning. What transpired at the meeting is not known. When asked about the issues that came up during the meet, Ahmed Patel said that Maharashtra was not discussed at all. But, one wonders how can Maharashtra be kept out of the discussion. Meanwhile Devendra Fadnavis met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday evening setting off speculations that he has asked the RSS chief to impress upon Shiv Sena the need for the Hindutwa forces to remain united. With the twists and turns of Maharashtra story becoming more and more curious, all eyes are now focused on Maharashtra.
