Sheena Bora case transferred to CBI

Maharashtra Government Today transferred Sheena Bora murder case to CBI. The State's home secretary KP Bakshi told such a move was taken suspecting financial motive behind the murder. "It's not just a murder case. The economic offences linked to the crime need to be probed thoroughly,' he said.
Former Star India CEO Peter Mikherjea's wife Indrani Mukherjea plotted the murder of her Daughter Sheena Bora along with Second Husband Sanjeev Khanna and Driver Shyamwar Rai, They executed the plan perfectly on April 24th, 2012.
Due to allegations of too much importance to Sheena Bora case and neglecting other cases, Maharashtra Government transferred Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria who was probing the sensational murder case as the Director General of Home Guards. Ahmed Javed, a DG-rank Official, has replaced him for the top post. Finally, CBI was given the responsibility to probe the case.
