Maharashtra Governor And CM Indulge In A War Of Words Over Re-Opening Religious Places

It has been widely reported that in the letter, Governor satirically asked the Chief Minister whether he turned secular, the term Shiv Sena openly hated once.
The Governor found it ironic as the religious places were not open to the devotees, while the bars, restaurants were permitted to resume its operations.
This letter did not go well with Uddhav Thackeray and he hit back at Governor for his satirical remark. Uddhav Thackeray said he follows Hindutva and his Hindutva doesn't need Governor's verification, ANI reported.
Talking about the lockdown, Uddhav Thackeray said, like how the sudden improvement of lockdown is not good, revoking it full-fledged will not be the right thing.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state in the country with the Coronavirus outbreak in the state. The state has 2,12,439 active cases, while 12,81,896 patients have been recovered from the virus.
Amid this tough situation, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari writing to CM to seek the reopening of the worship places gained significance as to how come he asked such directives.
