Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday recommends President's rule, Sena-Congress to approach SC recommended the President's rule in the state as uncertainty over government formation prevails. BJP, the single-largest party and the second largest Shiv Sena have failed to stake a claim to form a government in Maharashtra. Later, the Governor gave 24 hours to the Nationalist Congress Party which will end today at 8:30 pm.

Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, having been satisfied that as Government of Maharashtra cannot be carried on in accordance with the Constitution, has today submitted a report as contemplated by the provisions of Article 356 of Constitution (President's Rule)


The Shiv Sena has approached the Supreme Court of India (SC). It has claimed that Governor wrongfully declined giving three days. It has sought a hearing today.
