Mahatma Gandhi's Great-Grandson Succumbs To Covid-19 Related Complications

In a shocking turn of events, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Satish Dhupelia, passed away due to the Coronavirus complications in Johannesburg. His sister confirmed the same on social media.
Going by Satish Dhupelia's sister Uma Dhupelia's social media post, he was diagnosed with the pandemic who was undergoing treatment for pneumonia. He succumbed to Covid-19 complications.
"My beloved brother has passed on after a month of illness with pneumonia, a superbug contracted in hospital and then COVID-19 also contracted while he was being treated. He suffered a major cardiac arrest this evening," Uma Dhupelia's post read.
What's even more shocking is, Satish Dhupelia died due to the Coronavirus related complications just three days after his birthday. He turned 66 earlier this week.
Satish Dhupelia is a video producer and photographer by profession. He also served on the management committee of the Gandhi Development Trust, which was started by his aunt Ela Gandhi.
He is survived by his children. Satish has two sisters-Uma Dhupelia-Mesthrie and Kirti Menon. The siblings are children of Manilal Gandhi. Manilal Gandhi is the second son of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi.
