'Choodan' was released in Kerala on May 17th. Mahesh Babu promoted the film aggressively as he is well aware of the potential of Dookudu and it's the film which would connect well with people of all age groups irrespective of the language. The promotional campaign has paid off! 'Choodan' opened to good mouth talk and will be a profitable film at the ticket window. Mahesh's dream of cementing his place in Mallu land finally came into reality.
Until now, Only Allu Arjun among Telugu heroes has a good market in Kerala. Good to see, Superstar too making his presence felt in one more Southern language. These new revenue sources will help the Tollywood makers to deal with rise of budgets. By selling the dubbing and satellite rights of films starring these two stars in Kerala, Producers could be benefit at least Rs 3 to 5 crore that lands them in a safe zone even if the film is a disaster.
