In what could be a first-of-its-kind incident in Telugu states, a bank was reportedly hacked and money to a tune of over Rs 12 crores was transferred from the bank. The hacking incident had attracted a wide range of attention from one and all. The issue had landed before the cops.

The hacking incident was reported from pearl city Hyderabad. Mahesh cooperative bank became the victim of hacking and the Hyderabad cops have swung into action and they are probing the case. A few arrests were made earlier.

As a big breakthrough in the case, the crime branch wing of Hyderabad Cops is said to have arrested three people over the incident. The three arrested suspects included two men and a woman.

According to the information, the arrests were made in Karnataka capital Bengaluru and were brought to Hyderabad. The arrests were made as their investigation took them to the new suspects.

It is also said that the amount hacked from the bank accounts were transferred to various accounts including that of the three arrested. More details in this regard are awaited. In another development, two others were arrested by the cops in the national capital Delhi, media reports said.

The hacking incident was reported from the Mahesh Cooperative Urban Bank earlier last month. The fraudsters have targeted the bank by hacking the bank servers. As a result of the hacking, as much as Rs 12.9 crore was transferred to various bank accounts.

The concerned bank officials unearthed the scam as the accounts and the money in the bank were not matching. After smelling that, the officials have complained with the cops and the Police department has been probing the matter since then.

As the initial investigation said that the hacked money was deposited in various bank accounts across the nation, the special police teams reached various states as part of the probe.

The special teams have reportedly managed to crack a few suspects who were arrested by the investigation officers in other states like Bengaluru and the national capital Delhi. As much as Rs 3 crore was already frozen by the cops and the investigation to gather the remaining money is on.
