Sukumar has covered themes like pure love (Arya), animal instinct (Jagadam), selfishness (Arya 2) and jealousy (100% Love) in his films. In all these ventures, the characterization of protagonists look very peculiar and quite different from other films made in Tollywood.
Why asked him why is it so?, Sukumar replied we suppress our emotions fearing rejection from the society. "Problems arouse when people don't enjoy and express the feelings like selfishness, jealousy and etc., The untold factor to set a goal and achieve it could be nothing but jealousy," says the tough taskmaster, who enjoys working on such real emotions.
We knew Sukumar has entered the big league by directing Mahesh Babu for 'One'. How differently he would be presenting the Superstar is surely the only thing movie buffs want to know at the moment. Of late, Mahesh is open for doing any kind of role if he is convinced with the script and when he believes the director's vision. That's the reason he has given nod for Suku who usually banks on negative characterization of heroes. Except for one song, entire shoot of 'One' has been wrapped up for a massive release in Pongal season.
