The confrontation with Andhra Pradesh's State Election Commissioner(SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and Andhra Pradesh Minister for Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao aka Nani has reached the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The Minister knocked on the doors of the High Court with a House Motion on Sunday. The petition was filed challenging the SEC's orders to ban him from speaking to the media till the Panchayat elections are completed.

During the hearing, the Counsel who represented the Minister told the High Court that the petitioner did not make any comments that degrade the dignity of the SEC.

The SEC's lawyer requested the High Court to not give orders permitting the Minister to speak to the media and hold public meetings till the completion of the polls without seeing the videotapes of his press meet, media reports said.

Satisfied with the SEC lawyer's arguments, the High Court asked the Minister's lawyer whether the videotapes of Nani commenting on SEC were attached to the petition or not. The counsel said the footage was not attached.

The Court then directed the lawyer to submit the video footage of Nani's comments against the SEC. The Court adjourned the next hearing to Monday afternoon. The hearing will take place at 2.15 p.m.

It has to be noted that, earlier the SEC gave similar orders to Andhra Pradesh State Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Pedana MLA Jogi Ramesh.

However, the duo got a major sigh of relief when the Andhra Pradesh High Court quashed the orders issued by Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. It's interesting to know, what orders Kodali Nani will get in this regard.
