Major Tech Giant Says Employees Are Ready To Come To Office!

Work from home became a new normal in India post the Covid emergence. Not just in the IT sector, employees working in various sectors were asked to work from home as a safety measure. For over two years the employees worked from their homes and got accustomed to the model.

With the situation coming under control, the employers are busy taking measures to bring back the employees to offices. Asking employees to come to the office all of a sudden is going to be tough. The employers are using the hybrid model which is a mix of work-from-home and work-from-office models.

Unlike other companies, Microsoft is acting tough on making employees come to the office. CEO Satya Nadella said there are a few changes in the work culture and the managers should understand the changes and they should play a big role in understanding the dynamics.

Satya Nadella cited a recent report which says that over 90 percent of employees are ready to come to the office and they prefer coming to the office rather than meeting the expectations of the manager. Satya Nadella also said that the employees are working more than ever and the leaders should give good preference to productivity paranoia.

Talking about the data collected by the company, Satya Nadella said that employees are working more than ever and called helping the employees to prioritise the work a big challenge and the leaders should focus on this.

"92 per cent said they were motivated to come to work by establishing connections and rebuilding team bonds. Leaders need to embrace the fact that people come to the office for each other, not policy," Satya Nadella said in his recent interview.

Going by the version of Satya Nadella, Microsoft is focusing on making the employees come to the office and he urged the managers to create a big reason for the employees to make employees come to the office.

Microsoft is a big IT firm that has a workforce in many nations including India. If Microsoft can see good results in bringing employees to the office, then we can expect other major IT giants also to follow in the footsteps of the United States-based tech giant.
