Mallareddy's partying binge makes KCR seethe with anger
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Oct 2022 5:30 AM GMTTelangana Chief Minister KCR is said to have taken serious objection to some ministers organizing liquor parties and making a show out of it during the election campaign in Munugode. He is said to be particularly upset with Minister Malla Reddy over his serving liquor to his party colleagues in a private hotel that has no license to sell liquor.
He is said to have called up Malla Reddy and gave him an earful. Malla Reddy reportedly tried to explain, but KCR is said to have cut him short. He said that it is important not to bring disrepute to the ruling party through such actions. He said that the government's image was of paramount importance. He is also said to have counselled his other MLAs and ministers on this issue.
It may be recalled that there were allegations that one of the MLAs, considered quite close to the Pragathi Bhavan made indecent sexual advances towards a woman, whose family provided him with support and shelter during the Huzurabad byelection. The MLA in question had to be hastily withdrawn from the place to prevent disrepute to the party.
Another MLA had created a huge scene by organizing late night parties during Huzurabad byelections. This too has embarrassed the party to no end. KCR is said to have reminded the MLAs that their personal behaviour should be spotless and should not bring bad name to the ruling party. He reportedly told them that winning Munugode was very important for the party.
