West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee states Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose didn't get due credit for the sacrifices he made and few letters give strength to the reports that he was alive even after 1945, the year in which he disappeared. She also reveals there are intercepts which show Netaji's family was spied upon after his disappearance.

Mamta asked Historians and Researchers to conduct thorough study to bring the truth about Subhash Chandra Bose, who is a brave & great son of the soil, to light. She advised Union Government to declassify the remaining files in its possession saying truth shouldn't be suppressed.

Original Documents belonging to Subhash Chandra Bose will be at the Calcutta Police Museum. The digitized version of 64 files will be made available to public in the form of seven DVDs. People could view it from Monday on a first come first serve basis.

The death of Subhash Chandra Bose was announced by Tokyo Radio on August 22nd, 1945. It is believed that he died in an air crash in Formosa (name changed to Taiwan) on August 18th, 1945 while he was on his way to Japan.
