Mamtha's Moves Keep Rahul Gandhi Worried

Rahul Gandhi is a worried man. The cause of his worry is a woman. Yes. It's Mamta Banerjee. Mamtha didi's moves are seen as a threat to his prime ministerial ambitions. Mamtha Did was in Delhi on Wednesday meeting everyone who is someone. She met leaders from Congress, TDP, YSRCP, DMK, RJD, SP and JD (S). Ostensibly, she said she had come to invite them for January 19 Federal Front meeting in Kolkata. The Congress is worried as to why she is meeting these leaders for a meeting which is a good six months away. Tough Mamtha has time and again said that she has no prime ministerial ambitions, her moves are suspect. The Congress believes she is tring to project herself as the Prime Ministerial candidate in 2019 and that these meetings could be her preparatory exercises. She told the media persons that it was her duty to unite all opposition parties. She then said the prime ministerial candidate would be decided later in consultation with all other political parties.

Now this is a shocker to Rahul Gandhi, who has already been announced as the Congress Party's PM candidate. In an interesting twist, she met senior BJP leader LK Advani and spoke to him in private for over 20 minutes. She said she met Advani to enquire about his health. Later, she met Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and held detailed discussions with them.She also met Delhi CM Kejriwal, Congress leaders Ahmed Patel and Ram Gopal Yadav of the SP. Then, she met Shiv Sena MP Ranjay Raut.

Mamtha's hyper activity has kept Rahul and Sonia Gandhi on tenterhooks. They anxiously watched her fast-paced moves and the slew of meetings with lot of concern
