Man Attempts Suicide Near Telangana CM's Residence

A 42-year-old, named Md. Nazeeruddin from Hyderabad tried to immolate himself near Telangana CM KCR's residence, claiming that he has lost all his income due to the ongoing lockdown.
According to police, the 42-year-old reached near the KCR residence with a half litre petrol can and poured it over self. However, the police personnel on duty rushed to him and snatched the matchbox and prevented him from committing suicide.
After further enquiry, the police revealed that the person is drowned in the losses and he has to pay nearly Rs 20 lakh to a chit fund company. Since there is no business during this lockdown, it became very hard for him to repay it and even feed his family.
