Man Committed Suicide Against Modi Chennai Tour
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 April 2018 10:58 AM GMTPrime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Chennai, when the city is boiling with the protests related to Cauvery issue is treated as an unintelligent step by the people. The basic responsibility of a leader is not to visit the place when the people are angry with hhim.. they should not visit such places unless the situation becomes stable. Usually, all the responsible leaders follow this tradition.
But the style of Narendra Modi is different. He knows that entire Tamil Nadu is agitating against the central government. But still, he has arranged an official programme in Tamil Nadu. Moreover, he is fasting against the Tamil MPs who protested in the Parliament and he attended the event.
Everybody knows that Modi government is purposefully delaying in setting up of Cauvery board even after the Supreme Court passed orders to gain in the Karnataka elections. Entire Tamil Nadu is protesting against Central Government as they are not acting the issue even after the Supreme Court passed orders.
In such a scenario, many people are criticising Modi's Chennai visit. As he has the backup of the military.. and he is going to attend the Defense programme, he thought that he will not have any problem with the security. Though protesters were ready to protest against him... he silently escaped from the flight to the helicopter.
What is more disturbing is that a protester has immolated himself against the Modi visit to Chennai. He poured kerosene on himself and set ablaze. Tamilians are upset over the suicide of the protester and they are questioning the purpose behind Modi. They are criticising him for visiting Tamil Nadu at the wrong time.
