Man Faces Extortion from a woman he met on a Dating App!

Finding life partners through apps, which was a western practice has made its way into India and India is one of the big markets for such apps. For the very same reason, more and more apps are coming. However, such apps come with a negative impact as a few people use them as a platform to cheat or extort others.
As an example of how the apps can turn ugly if land in the wrong hands, a woman had stunned a man by blackmailing him with a nu** call. Sending the video to his number, she had demanded him to pay a sum of Rs 10,000 or else she will share the same on the internet.
Stunned by this, the victim had approached the cops in Mumbai's Andheri (East). The cops registered a complaint and are probing the matter. They are appealing to one and all to be safe with such incidents and experiences.
The incident came to light when the victim, who is pursuing his MBA, was targeted by a woman he met on a dating app called 'Hinge'. After chatting for a few days and getting closer, a woman had asked the victim to talk to her on a WhatsApp video call. She made a nu** call, Trusting her, he did the same.
Little does he know that she is recording the video and will use the same to extort money from him. As she shared a number to send the requested money on Google Pay, the cops are investigating the matter with the number as the main point. More details are awaited.
