With No Help From Villagers, Man Carts Corpse Of His Father On A Bicycle
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Sep 2020 11:50 AM GMTDespite India entering 2020 and a majority of Indians being well educated, the caste system is followed, and banning some particular communities on the grounds of the castes still prevails in some parts of India.
One such most inhuman act made it to the headlines, where the members of a village didn't to conduct the last rites of an aged person who recently lost his life.
Going into detail, the shocking incident took place in the Lankabahal Village of Bolangir district in Odisha. An aged person identified as Akhaya Patra lost his life the other day.
As he hails from a lower caste, no villagers offered them help. With no one to help, the victim's son wrapped a cloth around his father's corpse and carried the corpse on his bicycle to the crematorium on his own.
The visuals of the man carrying his father's corpse on a bicycle took the social media by a storm and many users have commented that these sorts of incidents raise questions on humanity.
On top of that, Bolangir district Collector made some rather shocking comments. He claimed that the victim's son did not ask the villagers for any help and he will receive help from the state government.
